What we're looking for

Hey there, game development gurus! We’re looking for an Internship Unity Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer to help us create the next big open-world multiplayer survival game. If you’re passionate about games and can code like a boss, we want you!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Unity expertise: You should have a deep understanding of Unity and its tools, and be able to wield them like a boss. Bonus points if you’ve worked on multiplayer games before!

  • Multiplayer savviness: Our game is all about survival in a dangerous world with other players, so you should be familiar with the joys and challenges of multiplayer game development.

  • Programming prowess: We need someone who can code circles around our competitors. You should be fluent in C# and object-oriented programming, and have a solid understanding of game development concepts.

  • Problem-solving superpowers: Our game is full of unexpected challenges, so you should be a master of creative problem-solving. The ability to think outside the box (or the cubicle) is a must.

  • Communication skills: We’re a tight-knit team, so being able to communicate your ideas and work effectively with others is essential. We want someone who can collaborate with us to create something truly amazing.

  • Quick-learning ability: Our game is constantly evolving, so you should be able to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and workflows. We want someone who’s always hungry to learn more and stay ahead of the game.

  • Positive attitude: We want someone who can bring their A-game every day, and isn’t afraid to take on new challenges with a smile. Life’s too short to not have fun while making games!

Reign of Dwarf is a game that our studio has been developing since March 2022. Our team is made up of passionate and enthusiastic individuals who are working tirelessly to create the ultimate survival game experience in the genre.

We’ve played countless hours of survival games and have combined the best features from each of them with our own unique ideas to create something truly innovative. Reign of Dwarf is one of the first survival games to blend together features from a variety of different titles, resulting in an experience that’s entirely new and exciting.

Responsibilities

As our Internship Unity Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer, you’ll be an essential part of our team, responsible for creating and implementing engaging gameplay mechanics and features for our upcoming open-world multiplayer survival game. Here are some of the key responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Work closely with designers and other team members to create and implement gameplay mechanics and features that are engaging and fun for players.

  • Use your knowledge of Unity and C# programming to build and maintain game systems and code, ensuring that they are stable, performant, and scalable.

  • Write clear and concise code that is easy to read and maintain, and use version control systems to manage and track changes.

  • Collaborate with artists and other team members to integrate art assets and ensure that gameplay mechanics are visually appealing and cohesive.

  • Test and debug your code to ensure that it works as intended and is free of bugs and other issues.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and provide input and feedback on new ideas and approaches.

  • Participate in team meetings and discussions, and communicate regularly with team members to ensure that everyone is on the same page.

  • Continuously improve your skills and knowledge through learning and training opportunities, and help mentor and guide other team members as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this Internship Unity Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • You should be currently enrolled in the last year of a Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of C# programming language and Unity game engine is required.

  • Prior experience with multiplayer game development is a plus.

  • A solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, algorithms, and data structures.

  • A strong passion for game development and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.

  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

  • A sense of humor is a plus!
